Seven Mountains Alumni Hold Gathering

Eighteen members of the Seven Mountains Scout Camp Alumni Association gathered November 28 at camp for fellowship, and dinner.

Do you remember morning reveille and evening taps as the sound broke the stillness of the forest at Seven Mountains Scout Camp?  The pockets of warm and cool water that made swimming in the lake such an adventure?  The Wednesday evening chicken barbecue and the solemn silence of the Order of the Arrow call out ceremony at the campfire later that night?  The bullfrogs in the lake and their magic song after dark?  Serving as a waiter in the dining hall?  The warmth and crackle of the fire as you sang "scout Vespers" while departing the campfire circle?

How long has it been since you last visited Seven Mountains Scout Camp?  Does the smell of pine bring back memories of days spent working on Merit Badges or sitting on the trading post porch whittling?

Juniata Valley Council, BSA is creating an Alumni Association for Seven Mountains Scout Camp.  Membership in this organization will be open to anyone who has camped at "7MC" and wants to help support its ongoing success.  The purpose the Alumni Association will be to benefit Scouts and Scouters who will utilize the facilities and programs of the Seven Mountains Scout Camp for generations to come.

The Juniata Valley Council, BSA currently subsidizes its camping program, because we feel that every Scout should have the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful camp and take part in a quality Scout camp experience.  We hope that you will take this opportunity to join the Alumni Association for Seven Mountains Scout Camp.  Please complete the Interest Survey and  contribute to the success of 7MC.

We thank you for your support!
